Google Inc. will pay its new Chief Financial Officer Ruth Porat more than $70 million starting this May, making her one of the highest-paid CFOs in hi-tech, Bloomberg reported.
Porat will get a $5 million one-time signing bonus and a $25 million stock grant this year, vesting by 2017, according to Googles regulatory filing Thursday. She will also get a $40 million biennial stock grant in 2016, vesting by 2019, on top of a base annual salary of $650,000.

So why is she so valuable?
I wonder if we will hear Elizabeth Warren railing at this salary and how unfair it is to Google employees.

Will she have any time to spend in that house? Won’t her hours be around the clock?
When you manage a company as the head of all financial affairs whose value is over 500 billion, 70 million is a pittance and if the shareholders are ok with it who are we to argue?
I told Bernie. He’ll put a stop to it.
Google employees make a very nice salary and are some of the best taken care of in the technology industry
Lib women. Ugly to the bone and heart.
LOL!!!
Good for her! MAGA will Make Google Greater Again
Nice work if you can get it.
Toil for a year and retire wealthy.
Good thing Google isn’t headquartered in Portland, OR!
“Google employees make a very nice salary and are some of the best taken care of in the technology industry.”
Sure, but 70 million / very nice salary is still horrible income inequality by Elizabeth Warren standards. What is different, of course, is that Google is perceived (probably correctly) to be a left-wing organization. So income inequality and huge executive salaries there are different than in, say, insurance companies or banks.
BIG Hillary supporter.
In a free market capitalistic society who are we to say is too much? The share holders will determine that. Could care less about the political slant of a corporation that wants to pay well. God bless her if she could land that. Income inequality to me is a liberal moniker equating to you should have negotiated better
