A lot of Republicans don’t even vote in California because:
1) What’s the point? Our choice this time for Senator was between 2 Dems
2) We can’t make a difference on President - ever
3) All that happens is you now can get called for Jury duty.
I’m a broken-glass Republican, but there aren’t a lot of us around in Cali.
Well said. Donald Trump made no post-primary appearances in California that I’m aware of and with the Dem vs. Dem Senate race, it was a no-fly zone and a no-vote zone as far as Republicans were concerned. I think that’s also why Darrell Issa had such a close vote margin and why other House Republicans there ran closer than usual. I think Trump could easily have gotten another million or two votes there if he’d been campaigning for the popular vote but people forget that he was campaigning (and winning) for the Electoral College vote.
