I get my carbs from green veggies and so far no problem.
That would be an issue for me, problem with having digestive disorders like Gastropresis (real slow digestion) a major Vagus AB nerve is damaged, is you don’t digest fiber, dense meats or legumes. And it really is a challenge to eat, and stay away from the diabetic tendencies it shoves you to. When they ran the delay test it took me 4 hrs to digest 2 egg whites, 2 slices of toast and 4 oz of radioactive laced food. Plant material takes longer, meat if you can chew it to mush about 5 hr. I’ve not had a steak of chop, any dense meats in 4 yrs. It means a level 9 AB pain and bloating to try and eat those foods.
So I eat mostly protein with some pasta, or bread. Still a 4 hr process at the least, 2 meals a day. Can’t handle more, their 6 small meals don’t work and make it worse. Eventually it shuts your bowel function down as you consume no fiber. No cure either except to watch what you eat to prevent the pain and not go diabetic.
