The CIA and the FBI appear to be divided in their assessment of whether Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Republican Donald Trump clinch the White House, according to a report. The Central Intelligence Agency has concluded that Russia was actively trying to help elect Trump as opposed to just meddling with the election process, according to The Washington Post.
During a closed-door briefing at the Senate Intelligence Committee early this month, the spy agency presented its assessment of Russias role in the election. Citing unnamed US officials briefed on the matter, The Post said individuals connected to Moscow had provided thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others to WikiLeaks.
The hacked emails were a regular source of embarrassment to the campaign of Democrat Hillary Clinton during the presidential race.
Russias goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected, said a senior US official briefed on the intelligence presentation made to key senators. Thats the consensus view. In a secure meeting room under the Capitol last week, however, a senior FBI counterintelligence official told lawmakers that the agency and the bureau were not on the same page regarding Russias alleged intervention. The FBI officials remarks to the lawmakers in the House Intelligence Committee, who had a classified letter written by the senators summing up the secret CIA assessment, were fuzzy and ambiguous, The Post said. The divergent messages from the CIA and the FBI have angered many lawmakers who are demanding answers about the Kremlins alleged role in the presidential race and its possible motives.

The clamor from Congress prompted the White House to announce Friday that President Barack Obama had ordered a full review of Russias cyber attacks during the presidential campaign. Obama wants the review to be completed before he leaves office in January. Meanwhile, Trumps transition team slammed the CIA on Friday over its assessment of Russian espionage operations targeting the 2016 race.
"These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," the transition said in a statement on Friday. "The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It's now time to move on and 'Make America Great Again.'"
The Clinton campaign has blamed FBI Director James Comey for the candidates bruising loss to Trump as the bureau dropped a bombshell letter days before the election on the discovery of new emails potentially related to an investigation into Clintons email practices.
Both organizations are run by ‘rats, at best. muzzies? maybe. Commies? - possibly.
The FBI has already been burned trying to save Clintoonie’s ass. They won’t be fooled again.
We'll see if there are any lasting scorch marks in a few months.
The removal of all the Obama Marxist/Socialist/America Last traitors from the halls of power cannot come too soon for me.
Headline of the Day Poll
Why are Democrats saying Russia interferred with the presidential election?
They are concerned with the integrity of the system
They are trying to delegitimize Trump’s presidency
Amazing that the focus can still be the source of the emails rather than the dirty rotten stench of the DNC that was exposed by them. The drive by media is still spinning it as they will, business as usual. Disgusting.
So - the same intelligence organization that never let Bambi in on the fact that IS IL could be a threat?
There are good people a the FBI at the field offices. Know several.
Obama’s people are the problem. They all need to go. Trump needs to purge the government across the board. 5% cut with ‘new hires’ first to go absent special showing of need.

interesting read
They want Obama to cancel the election results and have him call for a do-over, except this time around no one will be allowed to mention Hillary's emails or her many crimes the emails revealed.
This is so bogus. All you had to do was observe Trump’s massive crowds, the anger, the passion....compare that to the complete lack of enthusiasm for Hitlery and her crew. After watching that for months, I couldn’t imagine Trump losing.

John Brennan- CIA Director, is not on the same page as the United States of America!
In the modern Western political construct, revealing the truth has graduated from being a revolutionary act, to being an Act of War.
All this talk of “meddling” and endeavoring to support one candidate or an other is a wholesale lie constructed to obfuscate the fact that what WiKi published...with or without Russian help...was simply an accurate and true transcription of emails written by politicians and the supporters.
IF Russia did this they took no affirmative action toward altering any element of the American status quo.
And, again IF Russia did this, we owe them a debt of gratitude.
Yes, this was the theme of the panel (from Slate, WaPo, and AP) on De-Face the Nation this morning.
In the 50s I knew people whose paranoid about Russia (USSR) went far beyond reality. But it was never in the mainstream media.
This is different when George Snuffleupagaus on mainstream media promotes the paranoia as real. And the observer can’t figure out if he is paranoid too? Or just trying to profit from the paranoia of others?
That would be the start of Civil War II. Those bastards would do ANYTHING, including murder to keep Trump from his position as POTUS. They will not stop until they get their way, of that I am 100% certain. This is not going to end well. Cleaning the swamp needs to go well beyond the boundaries of DC
