The early Vegas before those big bumpers were not bad looking, but the appeal ended with the styling. Rust, trim falling off, plastic pieces breaking off of the interior and then you have the aluminum four cylinder engine warping the block routinely. I had an older cousin who bought a Vega Kammback wagon in ‘72, navy blue. He kept it up perfectly, too, but he had a time staying on top of it. A lot of time and expense.
I had an amazing father-in-law and brother-in-law now. I would pull in the drive way of his garage and he would be listening to the sound of my car and know if anything was not right. My husband on the other hand once put windshield wiper cleaner in my radiator. I had the cleanest car in town. LOL The only accountant out of ten children. I go out to the garage even to have a wiper replaced. They on the other hand call for advise and have my husband do their taxes. He’s very busy at tax time and working his day job.
