I have been wrapping gifts on and off today too.

My 1st real job besides babysitting, was at Penney’s when I was 16 as a gift wrapper.

Did this for a few years, fun at first but got old.

Then my mom would have my sister and me do all her wrapping.

I put it off now till I can’t.

Had a various jobs prior to this, but my first full-time permanent job was at a very nice department store in Denver - think a smaller version of Nordstroms. I would wrap purchases customers made from my department as a courtesy - enjoyed it then. Used to do a lot of very special wrap for family and friends. Now I primarily use paper and wide wired ribbon (Costco has a great deal on this - huge roll for about $7.99). Easy to just wrap the ribbon around and tie a bow in front. My sis, BIL, nephew and I save our wired ribbon to be used again the following year. Not being a Scrooge, but it’s perfectly good. Plus, it’s already cut to the size of various clothes boxes.
