You think? Try paying your $2000.00+ property tax or your income tax with Ones or coins. Inspite of the little note on the front about all debts, you can lead the horse to water but it will be hard to make him drink.

Actually, by law the ones and coins have to be accepted as payment for a debt. You can refuse currency in a direct transaction as no debt is incurred, but say, you ate a meal and the proprietor said he didn’t accept paper, he’d be SOL because you owed him a debt.

Why would I want to pay a $2,000 property tax bill with pennies? That seems like quite an inconvenience for all involved.

I guess I just don't understand the "protest" nature of wanting to do something like that. What does that accomplish? Also, where would one get 200,000 pennies!
