But, that ocean cooling is long term, while the atmospheric heating is short term. A very dynamic situation much too complex for progressive minds to handle. So they will continue to deny their error. But overall as the oceans cool, the average temperature will keep dropping and by the time you reach a snowball Earth situation, a significant amount of solar radiation is reflected back to space by snow and ice. So the dynamic changes as the planet cools or warms.
