720,000,000,000,000 ÷ 0.040 = 18,000,000,000,000,000
x 0.83
597,600,000,000,000

Wind blows most strongly during the daytime. And infrared can leave water without wind. Again: Wind; Infrared at Night; and Evaporation are the only methods that can bleed significant energy from the ocean. It’s not the weight of water vapor that matters, but it’s ability to absorb infrared light and store the energy. The E=mc2 reference was only to show a particle based water condensation is still energy based by E=mc2. Energy and matter are related. Have a nice night.

This is probably a very cold winter. It was -3F here this morning. Just think. If the average temperature of the planet rose by 2 degrees, it'd be -1 out now instead of -3.
Do you think you'll be seeing any ice caps melting soon?

Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 pounds per square inch.At the surface of the Earth. But, yes, the column of air does weigh 14.7 pounds.
To: butlerweave
climate change scare is based on GREED I'd have to disagree. I think it's based on control.

Termites emit methane which is also a greenhouse gas.
It’s a stronger greenhouse gas but not as abundant.
The article is correct however, that water vapor is the most abundant and powerful greenhouse gas going. The others are insignificant in terms of their contribution.

I remember reading a few months ago about an Australian scientist or mathametician finding several math errors in the computer models. I wonder whatever became of that. I wonder what ever became of HIM.

63,000 [squared] is 3.9 billion, not 3.7 million. You are off by a factor of a thousand. yeah. I knew I shoulda converted to scientific notation before that step . . .

It’s a good thing the scare is over because Obama is leaving office and he held back sea level rise for the last 8 years single handedly.
We’d have been in deep poo poo with him leaving and the scare still on.

I think you are both correct. It’s just that GREED is a component of CONTROL.

Your other stuff is pointless.Until such time that scientists can explain why, during the EXACT SAME CONDITIONS of Temperature and Humidity, one time it rains, the next it doesn't, all of everyone's stuff is pointless.

i know how you come up with the number, but is there al ink stating the atmosphere is 18 quadrillion? I’ve always read it was 6 quadrillion?

I have no idea. I just used the number given me to illustrate the number of zeros attached, that it was quadrillions not billions and so forth.

That is because they are using two dimensional science in a three dimensional world. They need to drop temperature as a primary metric and adopt heat content or density. Just like Spock did in Wraith of Khan. Lol.

We must remain ever vigilant against communist progressives, especially when winning.

It will be interesting to see what the bogus study Grant junkies do for a living once the Trump admistration eliminates all of their funding. NASA climate change funding will be zero.
They will have to move away from DC, have their Audi A5 repossessed and get a real job as a Walmart greeter.
