P.S. “Our land” refers to the Golan Heights occupied by Israel. Not Israel itself.
(It is kinda funny that folks fall over themselves to bash Assad for these unsurprising, expected - politically calculated - remarks on Israel, while he is the only ruler in the region seriously eradicating the jihadi pest. The first is just empty words... the latter really counts.)

It would be nice if the author explained why he considers it “apparent” that he’s not talking about the Golan. Or does he consider it a part of Israel? Personally I think Syria gave up their right to it when they used it’s strategic position to attack Israel. But the for the author to make that blanket interpretation he should back it up.
