I consider Hardees, MacD, BK, Wendys, etc. all to be the same burger but with different names on the sign.

"Mr. Puzder, chief executive of CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc., the parent company of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s burger chains, has been a vocal advocate for cutting back regulations he says have stifled growth in the restaurant industry, which represents 10% of the American workforce."

That part is down right embarrassing for the USA...

MHO.....

Real people? You mean in the sense that he favors amnesty? Immigration reform? Choose the term you prefer.

For state income tax purposes, it doesn't matter where your headquarters are located. A state income tax is based on how much revenue is generated in each state you do business, not where your headquarters are located.

I'm sure there are many other reasons they wanted to relocate to another state, but it will not change how much state income tax is owed to each state.

I was replying to an individual who had stated that his income tax in NC was bad, and replied on that basis alone. Lack of state income tax may or may not play into a corporate relocation decision, however, just as air connections via a decent airport, nice climate, natural beauty or recreational opportunities for the employees they need to attract play into it.

"Why is it embarrassing?"

Sorry....but I just got to say....any young, healthy 33 year old guy with 2 kids finds himself flipping burgers or bussing (?) tables for a living is just wrong.... And I feel really bad for him....

Two days ago Glenn Beck was howling about how we really didn't want or need manufacturing jobs back in our country again, (He was in the process of hammering Trump, as usual) that nobody wanted to work those kinds of jobs anymore.... Well, that's just horse crap... I have to believe that anyone with half a brain would choose a job that gives one the opportunity to learn electronics, mechanics, welding or some other trade rather then cooking hamburgers with the hopes of moving up to french fries... And to think that 10% of our work force has nothing to look forward to but this is....sad.

But, as they say, different strokes for different folks...

PS... I think Glenn Beck may be transforming into a large steaming pile right before our very eyes..... :)
