If Electoral Votes were assigned by Congressional District (One Electoral Vote per Congressional District and one for each Senator, which is was was intended), we would never have had Obama for a second term, and probably would never have had him for his first term

Worth Repeating

This effectively allows Al Franken to run in 2020.
Jill Stein will be his VP pick.
The Franken-Stein ticket, coming to America.

Nice! First chuckle today :).

They stopped it because the Michigan court said Stein didn’t have standing.

Clinton waited too long and now can’t file. Hiding behind Stein didn’t work.

“...276-262 and Hillary taking the popular vote is too close and will be the mantra of the left for 4 years...”

No doubt you are right that the left will try this angle: However! it won’t work this time because we have Trump not Bush or a RINO.

All of the left’s attempts to “illagetimatize” Trump will not work this time.

To anyone who complains about the EC, I say this:

Get busy and organize an effort to pass a Constitutional amendment that eliminates it in Congress with a 2/3 majority, and then in 34 states, and see how far you get.

You might have better luck if you include a requirement for photo ID and proof of citizenship in that amendment.

OK, but I don’t see what you’ve got against 5 year olds.

i have not looked at statistics, but my guess is that those 57 counties won by Clinton account for a disproportionate amount of violent gun crime. i also would guess that those 57 counties all have very restrictive, but ineffective gun control laws.

There are still two levels of appellate courts for them to try, and that includes a fully impaneled circuit court to hear the appeal if the three-judge appeal panel is something-or-other blah blah blah. After that there’s SCOTUS. If that doesn’t work, they’ll have another tantrum.

There are 3144 counties in the USA.

Trump won 82% of them. The biggest reason for the Electoral College is to keep a President being chosen by Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco & bay area counties, New York City, Virginia, Chicago, etc.

The founders were brilliant!!!

Look long & hard at students...

I believe many are voting absentee with their parents addresses & voting in person at the school. They have no ethics in today’s world & they don’t think that ‘MULTIPLE voting’ is wrong.

A guy was caught in Texas who had voted 10 times—this year. In 2012- a student in Milwaukee bragged that he had voted for Obama 12 times. NO actions taken against him.

OTOH, one report says that in Milwaukee, the number of signatures on the pages of the voter rolls didn’t match the number of votes in the ballot boxes/machines. It is my understand that even if only a 1 count difference-—those votes have to be left OUT of the count. There are a number of precincts in Milwaukee with this problem—and they all have MORE voted in the count than names in the pages of the voter rolls.

38 states.

It takes 38 states to ratify an amendment.
