A progressive public relations firm founded by environmentalist and CNN political contributor Van Jones is representing a number of Republican electors who plan on voting against President-elect Donald Trump.
Chris Suprun, a Republican presidential elector from Texas, garnered media attention on Monday after having an opinion piece published in the New York Times explaining why he plans to defect from Trump with his Electoral College vote on Dec. 19.
The election of the next president is not yet a done deal. Electors of conscience can still do the right thing for the good of the country, Suprun wrote. Presidential electors have the legal right and a

Gosh, a Commie trying to overthrow America. Whodda thunk?
Do these people have a death wish?
For us? Certainly.
For themselves? Possibly.
CAN THEY CHANGE THE OUTCOME????
More like useful idiots , who can come in all colors and party alliances.
Hey nevertrumpers! Real American hero you got there!
Well if they must be asses, let them be.
We might discover something more has been afoot when the electors actually vote.
Democrats who resent how Hillary has pounded on them might start a whispering campaign to cast protest votes for Donald Trump.
Are they planning to combine with the democrats who say they aren’t voting for Clinton
and may vote for Kasich instead?

And in the meantime Kasich publicly pleaded, don’t vote for me.
And that "number" is one, the idiot from Texas that will be replaced before the electoral college meets...
Meanwhile a hard core leftist like Jones became a part of the Obama administration, and is still an honored talking head on TV, especially CNN, and no one bats an eye.
Chris Suprun’s Twitter page. Note in his bio, “FOR MEDIA INQUIRIES, CALL>>>>”

This is a publicity stunt.
Trump’s PR people ought to “call.” Heh heh
He’d rather be the foodie in chief
No, not really. Since it appears they aren't voting for Hillary but for Kasich or some other token candidate The very worst they could do is if 36 flipped it would drop Trump below 270 Electoral Votes which would kick the election to a vote in the House of Representative that Trump would easily win anyway.
Even if they all flipped to Hillary and put her over 270 the congress has a constitutional mechanism for dealing with that, any electoral vote can be contested by a petition by one member of the House and one member of the Senate. Then the Republican House and Senate would vote with only a simple majority needed to disregard any of the "unfaithful electors" which would drop Hillary below 270 and again kick the election to the House who would then elect Trump. So under every possible scenario Trump still wins.
Savage mentioned yestetday that it will get really bad if yhey make itso even if when win the election they they refuse to go.
As in blood in the streets
“And that “number” is one, the idiot from Texas that will be replaced before the electoral college meets...”
You are 100% correct. One is the loneliest number.
A warning to all electors that vote against their constituencies is that patriots will vote you out.
False. There are not “a number.” There is one.
He is not needed. The Kasich crap is equally fantastical.
Trump will be president Jan. 21. Please deal with it.
Nope.
Only thing they might do is start cwii/rwii and we will win big time and there will be a purge they cannot imagine in their wildest dreams.
