Washington Post ^ | December 6th 2016 | Karin Brulliard

Posted on 12/07/2016 1:08:19 AM PST by LouieFisk

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in an email Tuesday that “no decisions have been made” about the dog. But Pope said she is confident that the Trumps will take the puppy, which she named Patton after George Patton, a World War II general Trump has said he admires.

I didn’t know if you’d seen the pics at that link before. I hadn’t. I was looking for info on how Willie got his name. :-)

Not that I am a little prejudice or anything, but Trump looks like he should have an English Bulldog...or 2.....CUTEST puppies ever....nothing but a puddle of wrinkles! [real life mom of 4 “Bulldren”....wish I could figure out how to post a pic]

Not a fan of these dogs - a friend of mine has one and it never calms down. Two breeds that can be over-active and neurotic.

Plus, Trump is a neat-freak I’ve always heard. Don’t think he’s going to want a big, slobbery dog jumping up on the gold furniture!

Enjoyed your mouse tale.
We had a similar experience. We used peanut butter in the have a heart trap & release traps. At first I was catching 5 a night. You would hear the soft snap and get up take the mouse outdoors and reset the trap. We kept a tally and got to several hundred. Then they petered out and we were able to stop. Now just an occasional mouse for the cats to handle 2-3 a year.

Is that what the boy wants? I wish the beautiful collie dog would come back into fashion. The dog of my youth!

I agree—relatively hyper and mindless dogs.

Whomever has it seems determined to insert the dog into their lives, regardless.

Be crazy if somebody actually asked him what he’d want, right?

(Pick a Dobe! PICK A DOBE!!!)

I just did a dog breed match your personality test, plugging in what I think the PE would say. Here are the results for the best match: 1) Poodle 2) Goldendoodle 3) Schnoodle 4) Goldador 5) Belgian Malinois.

My friend’s dog is beyond stupid. Also, he looks like Fred MacMurray.

As I have said myself, all along.

His “fighting style” is identical.

Bite.
Jump back.
Wait for a hint of movement.
Bite again.
Jump back.

Repeat as necessary...or until target ceases to move.

;)

Separately they’re both good, bright breeds but their innate personalities are too disparate to consistently “work”.

Their only commonality is that they are both water dogs, created for hunting.

The upside is that Standard Poodles were once used in police work and make good guard dogs.

But their other half may be more prone to lovingly greeting intruders with a big smile.

;)
