It was a motion to intervene, add himself (or the state) as a party to the case between the Green Party and the GOP. The story you linked said that the idiot judge didn't grant the request, not that he didn't respond to the request.
Motown was good stuff. I grew up in Holland. Lived a few years in Marshall, as an adult. Do some work up in Troy a few times a year.
