Wind power is not a silver bullet, and is not ideal for all regions, but wind production in Texas drives down the cost of natural gas and coal for everyone.
I am open to the idea, but only if it is truly cost effective.... taking into account production and maintenance costs.....And... if it does not make disturbing humming noises and block the landscape.
u beat me to it!
no subsidy, no turbine
plus, they’ve ruined beautiful West Texas
Ping me when you find an electric generating facility that does not block landscape.
“plus, theyve ruined beautiful West Texas.”
By all means, if they are building wind turbines on the land you own in beautiful West Texas, you should have them removed.
Otherwise, we might want to let the actual land owners in West Texas to determine how to make their land beautiful.
LOL, ...........I can see you are not into what was once the most beautiful scenery in the US.............in some peoples opinions.
We just made a trtip out West. These things are everywhere. They seem to be not turning a lot of the time. Guess it is the season? Huh?
My wife opined that when the subsidies end they will become tattered eyesores with blades drooping and nacelles ripped apart like in some post apocalyptic scene.
Hawaiian Islands been there already.
Thanks. The coal bed methane of wind.
