Students at California Polytechnic University can now fulfill certain core requirements by completing a course that examines the social construction of whiteness.
A course catalog for the schools Ethnic Studies Department, where the class is taught, even notes that the 4-credit course fulfills GE Area D5, an abbreviation for Cal Polys Society and the Individual core area of study.

White could be called a sub-race.
It wasn’t invented; it evolved. It’s darwinian.
Tongue in cheek answer by way of silly analogy:
If you combine different color lights in the right proportions, you get white. That’s additive coloration.
If you combine different color pigments, you inevitably get a muddy, dark color. That’s substractive coloration.
So, I guess that means that miscegenation is subtractive?
This “reasoning” seems to be on about the same level as that used in this course.
