Former Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., was spotted at Trump Tower on Monday, where he reportedly met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence as well as members of the incoming administrations national security team.
The retired lieutenant colonel also sat down with retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who has been tapped by President-elect Donald Trump to be national security adviser, and K.T. McFarland, who will be deputy national security adviser, The Hill reported.
Nothing was offered. I mean, they know my reputation very well, West told pool reporters in Trump Tower following the meeting.

I’ve met him. He is indeed the real deal.
Seconded. Army Leaders have manage a host of resources, in addition to leading people.
He’s not a Perfumed Prince, and that’s exactly we need in the Cabinet. Too many PP’s are the root cause of the problems today.
“If it’s about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I’d go through hell with a gasoline can.”

With that attitude, he’d be a good one to clean up the VA.
This is good.
I wish we had 535 Allen Wests in Congress and I would not care what color any of them were.
Jeb and Marco’s boys made certain Col. West did not return to Congress when they redrew his district. He was rejected by liberals in a RINO redrawn liberal district. Unlike you, I’d certainly take someone rejected by libs. That you have more problem with Col. West than you have with the RINOs and libs running the show down there says an “awful” lot about you.
Do you really think a person....simply because he was in the military....does not possess the skills necessary to run a part of the government? I would say serving in a war zone, being responsible for your troops, indeed covers all of the qualifications you mentioned. Balancing a budget? What do you call knowing and requesting the logistics..material needed for your troops and the extent of coverage necessary, especially when coming under fire? What about the constant planning and replanning, and then adjusting to the unexpected conditions on the ground and being able to counter adverse conditions? For a soldier, a leader of men,Technical decisions are constant and do not let up because it’s five o’clock and the workday is over.
A couple of well known quotes come to mind: “I would rather have a good plan today than a perfect plan three weeks from now,” Patton. “Know your enemy, “ Sun Tzu. “An army marches on its stomach,” Napoleon. Allen and I have many times discussed lessons in leadership learned from great military figures from the past. He knows his stuff!
As far as leadership material is concerned, would you prefer a pencil pusher from most of the so-called great universities of today? I prefer someone who is proven under fire.
hey - chill out
I am just saying the two skills are NOT the same
Yes I really think a person who is a great leader in the military DOES NOT NECESSARILY possess good administrative management skills...
I hope he does.
West- excellent choice for theTtump team! Snap him up, Donald. He hates muzzies!!
I am glad I am not the only one who can see it.
There is no good explanation for all this enthusiasm for West given his record of going along to get along when it mattered, and having no political leadership items to his credit.
His explicit excuse was fear of retribution (from Congressional leadership), but he was not made a Congressman on a platform of cowing in fear to the status quo, he was elected on a platform of opposing that status quo and was completely ineffective at it due to allowing that fear to neutralize him.
Oh yea....I love that man!!!!!!!

That’s a disgraceful post... you should be ashamed
West is a man’s man and I support him 100% for the cabinet
I was hoping for VP as well
