“drafted”?? The lefty is trying to rewrite history (no surprise). The draft was unnecessary, as the armed services had more volunteers than they could handle, in fact there were lotteries with the winners being accepted to serve.
Let’s get our facts straight. During WWII 61.2% (11,535,000) of all service personnel were draftees. Yes there were a lot of volunteers but to say there was no draft is simply innaccurate.
If I remember correctly the U.S. Army stopped taking enlistments in 1943. They relied solely on the draft for their man power requirements. That way they could control the numbers men taken into the army at any one time. This prevented big back logs of enlistees waiting for training.

I'm surprised that this clown didn't talk about how shocked all of the Americans of that era must have been when when they saw the "tape" of the strafing "Japanese jets" on the 11 o'clock news that same evening.
