Republican presidential elector Christopher Suprun explained in an eye-opening op-ed to the New York Times on Monday why he intends to reject Donald Trump when it comes to voting as part of the electoral college.
In a column aptly titled Why I Will Not Cast My Electoral Vote for Donald Trump, the Texas paramedic revealed how he will break ranks will Republicans in an attempt to halt the president-elects road to the White House.
I do not think president-elects should be disqualified for policy disagreements. I do not think they should be disqualified because they won the Electoral College instead of the popular vote. However, now I am asked to cast a vote on Dec. 19 for someone who shows daily he is not qualified for the office,
Suprun went on to make a number of references to Hollywood, from Trumps Twitter tirades accusing the Saturday Night Live cast of bias, to Darth Vader and the Dark Side of the Force.
Rogue One, the latest Star Wars installment, arrives later this month. I am not taking my children to see it to celebrate evil, but to show them that light can overcome it, he wrote.

Here’s his Twitter address....
@TheChrisSuprun
His posts are juist as ignorant and moronic as this article...
Said he will probably vote for Kasich. Loser.
People are giving him the business (as Wally would say) on Twitter.
>>Next Constitutional Amendment: A mandatory IQ test for members of the Electoral College.
Won’t help. Intelligence and wisdom are not the same thing.
“However, now I am asked to cast a vote on Dec. 19 for someone who shows daily he is not qualified for the office,
You little self-absorbed bastard...that’s not your call. Charge his ass with a felony.
He has gone bonkers, totally bonkers! One day he has to answer his kids question why he did not want to vote for Trump, and he says “because of SNL”??? Really?
And for those on the Left who don’t like the idea of the Electoral College, how about this—get rid of the party conventions. After all every time, they have a roll call of states who announce their delegates for certain candidates. What else is that but a mimic of the Electoral College? So, just add up the popular votes of the potential nominees and the winner gets to be the nominee.
There will be no need for candiates to stump in certain states. There need be no expense in putting a convention in a certain city, bringing in business. Yeah, no delegates at all, just like no electors at all. Make it all popular.
“Mister Speaker...the great state of Illinois proudly casts all its delegates for the next President of the United States, Barack Obama”—why that’s so unfair. All this delegate nonsense.
Just noting here that delegates and electors each are important; being a bit sarcastic. And the next time a lib
raves about seeing that wonderful musical Hamilton, say,
“Oh...it’s about that guy who created the Electoral
College.”
The guy’s quite obviously an utter as*hole.
A fireman who wants to have the entire planet burned with nuclear fire that Hillary would without doubt set ablaze.
Agreed he must be made an example of. What a douche!
Well, I guess he is going for job security then. ;)
Let the people of Texas show up on his door step and demand that he vote the way he is suppose to?
What is Christopher Suprun’ address?
He’s from where? Austin, Houston, San Antonio...where??
Another self-righteous, pompous ass that was appointed to do a job under certain rules and now decides his conscience won’t allow him to do so. Supposedly that makes everything in his world ok. I’d like to ask him why his conscience doesn’t allow him to just resign?
Dammit Jim! You have one job to do. Now do it and go back under your rock!
Cite SNL for your political motivation?
Now THERE’S some real sophisticated political rational. SOME people (children/drunks/mentally challenged) are VERY easily led!
>>IIRC, the pu$$y is a firefighter
He’s a paramedic. That may or may not be a firefighter. But a person can be physically brave and still be a pu$$y politically, professionally, or academically.
And then there was that “Archie” comic book in, I think, 1968, where Betty dissed Veronica.
> Further, he should find out the difference between president-elects and presidents-elect.
I kinda think the former is the correct way to go, as there is only one President to be President-elect at any given time (unless we’re talking multiple just-elected leaders of multiple countries).
This man is no solemn elector doing his unpleasant duty for the preservation of the constitution, taking arrows to save his beloved country. His pretense is laughable and insulting.
There was no reason for him to go public about his intentions, therefore, he must be craving high fives from tearful celebrities and media personalities.
Hope he enjoys his 5 minutes of fame. All he is likely to be remembered for is being a traitor.
