Yes, Trump is building a second party. Previously we only had the uniparty. And Trump feels (and I agree) that some traditional democrats, like blacks and blue collar workers, have no home anymore in the democrat party, and in fact should come to the republican party. So yes, some of it looks "democrat," even though that's more of putting a wedge between the different groups of democrats.
If that's the new paradigm, I wish I could tell which one will more vigorously advocate for individual freedom.
you hit the hammer on the nail. I will always be wary of liberal policies but at this point I am more worried about whether someone holds a globalist agenda or a globalist agenda. if we allow the globalists to get there way it will bee serf and master eventually.

I believe the world's political/ideological pendulum is swinging back towards the nationalism end of the spectrum currently.
Brexit, Trump, Italy are all indicators of that direction. EU is looking more like an epic fail all the time. Trump is elected just in time to prevent the US from slipping over the precipice. More to follow.
also, internally the division will be between the old, rapidly-becoming-obsolete urban Ruling Class, and the new, emerging, nationalist-populist County class.
