BEIJING — Implementation of the Iran nuclear deal should not be “affected by any changes in the domestic situations” of countries involved, China’s foreign minister warned Monday, responding to US president-elect Donald Trump’s threats to abandon it.
The agreement, signed in Vienna in July 2015 and in force since January 2016, was the signature diplomatic breakthrough of Barack Obama’s second term. It calls on Tehran to curb its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief from the US and other nations.
Trump has promised to tear up the nuclear deal once in office, calling the agreement under which it was implemented — the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action — the “worst deal ever negotiated.”

These countries need to learn if it’s not a treaty ratified by congress, it’s only as good as long as the current administration is in power. That’s our system, and they should respect it.

Iran is (secretly) partners with China’s protégé (North Korea) in developing their nuclear weapons.
It is basically a joint program between Iran and North Korea. Iranians are always on hand when the Norks test a nuke.
But Obama never bothered to get Senate ratification, so the Iran deal is not a treaty - it was a contract with one Barack Obama (soon to be irrelevant).

Good point. Haven’t read, or heard a thing about Red China being tag team with US in this Iran fiasco, but if they think they can tell us what to do there must be something in the deal we don’t know about.

Yo, Commies: The United States of America is a sovereign nation. Its leaders need neither your permission nor your approval to decide upon our own foreign policy.
Oh, and we also don’t need your permission or approval to ditch an agreement (not even a treaty, I might add) that the other side is violating faster than I become hungry after eating Chinese food.
