No death penalty for Intentional murder of a child?.................
If O’Bummrt doen’t pardon him.
The prosecutor must have elected not to seek the death penalty.
How long will he actually serve? Five years?
As radio and TV commentator George Putnam used to say, the phrase "life in prison without the possibility of parole" is not worth the price of the ink used to write it.
If they put him in the general population, he won’t last long.
In Georgia, people sentenced after 2005 to “life without parole” are not eligible for consideration for parole until thy have served 30 years. Pardons and commutations are another matter.
“He was supposed to take Cooper to day care that morning, but instead, just minutes after the father-son pair had breakfast at Chick-fil-A, the former Home Depot web developer drove straight to work.”
That makes it very clear that there was intent.
It was not an accident.
This was not one of those cases where someone somehow forgets there is a child in the car and then goes to work leaving them to die. Those situations are bad too but that is not what we have here.
Here is the key item :”Court documents state that Harris allegedly researched child deaths in hot cars before the incident.... Prosecutors argued that Harris wanted to be free of his family responsibilities and was having multiple online affairs, including with the girl.”
The guy is one sick SOB. I heard the verdict delivered over the radio live. 30+ years consecutive to Life without parole. He will die in prison. Unfortunately the people will have to pay for his food, shelter and medical for decades.
Turns out he sexted underage girls while his son lay dying in his hot car.
Ross also researched how long it would take for a child to die in a hot motor vehicle and he trolled websites advocating a child-free lifestyle.
His tears of being shown photos of his dead son were for affect. If he really loved his son, he wouldn’t have “forgotten” to leave him in his car. No parent is that negligent.
Most of us would die for our kids. He callously got rid of his kid because being a parent cramped his fantasy lifestyle.
What a monster. At any rate, he’ll die behind bars. Good riddance.
Unfortunately the people will have to pay for his food, shelter and medical for decades.
Don’t count on it. Even criminals have a value system and people who hurt little kids are at the bottom of the food chain. I wish his roommates good hunting.
As this is a state issue, I don't believe he can.
It was planned in advance.
He thought he would get away with it. The truth always wins out and it nabbed Justin Ross Harris cold.
Being free of parental obligations is the lowest excuse I’ve ever seen for murdering a child.
The guy’s no Father Of The Year - not where his own flesh and blood was concerned.
This guy goes to prison where he belongs. Abortionists ply their deadly trade under protection of the Supreme Court.
Where is justice?
It's the most common excuse for women killing their kids. Happens all the time, under the protection of the Supreme Court.
The End.
No, life with parole in GA means 30 years before parole can be considered. Life without means you are there forever.
No parole.
He can never rejoin society.
Child looks hydrocephalic. Was he handicapped in any way?
