LANSING Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette today issued the following statement after the Michigan Court of Appeals granted a Tuesday, December 6th hearing on Schuette's lawsuit against former Green Party candidate Jill Stein's request for a statewide presidential recount:
"I am pleased the Michigan Court of Appeals has chosen to take up the issue of the frivolous recount being demanded by Jill Stein. Her insistence on a recount despite only getting 1% of the vote has created chaos for our county clerks and will cost Michigan taxpayers millions of dollars. I am asking the Court of Appeals to rule on the side of Michigan voters and end this frivolous recount."
How many people here want to bet me that EVERY single state is looking long & hard at the structure of their recount procedures?
First-—NO state or it’s taxpayers should have to pay a single dime for these recounts. IF a candidate wants a recount—THEY should pay for every single cost.
The time period where any recount can be asked for has to be tightened up.
Then the method recounting has to be secure in scope—not vague.
There are Fed timelines & these recounts cannot keep going on past those deadlines.
The problem isn’t a counting problem......
It is a problem when poll workers are hiding in a ‘secret room’ & filling in absentee ballots as fast as they can do so.
Also- the voter rolls need to be started over-
There are too many ‘voters’ rgistered who are not eligible to vote.
I have a plan. It is too long to retype here.
Go to thread 3498841 & to post #44. Let me know if there is anything you would like to add. Feel free to pass that plan on to anyone you choose. Thx.
I have two problems with that. First, MI law allows a recount request from an “aggrieved” candidate. Somehow we have skipped over the process of determining whether Mz. Stein is aggrieved or not. Second, it allows for a request for a recount, but not to designate what type of recount will be performed. How is she able to demand a “hand recount” by law?
I do not understand how either occurred. She should have been stopped at “aggrieved.” She was not close enough to either candidate to be “aggrieved.” SHE is aggrieving.
Did you get the sign up link? Did I send it to you?
Can you help with the recount? I posted the link on the state forum for signing up.
The website for their sign up is at hillaryclinton.com
An attorney in Florida just filed for a statewide recount there...check my posting history for the link
There is video of this on you tube. Schuette said the thing Sunday night happened in a locked courtroom.
I am not sure where I got it, maybe from you. I volunteered, but I am not sure exactly for what job. Not a captain for sure. Are the volunteers counters? or observers?
Why is this costing so much if we are all volunteering? Venues?
Also consider a bunch of party consultants, namely Dems, are more or less out of power for a while. May as well make another month of revenues billing somebody, and create the make-work, useless work for themselves.
If she is “aggrieved” she should be made to state her grievance. The statement that an election COULD have been hacked is true of every election ever held. A grievance must include an actual injury to MZ. Stein.

Have you tried my Schuette Balls? Old family recipe.
I think if the recount is not finished in time, the original results stand. There is no waiting around for states to finish recounting. There is no losing electors.
I’ve seen that said around FR at various times, butI’ve read no authoritative article that proves that point.
Somebody was watching the total on the funding site for the recount, and it was going up regularly, automatically, like $500 every time it updated, which was like every 15 minutes or something. This is totally an astroturf operation, undoubtedly Soros funded.
sorry, I can’t do anything about the fact that
Michigan lawmakers are not very bright.
‘aggrieved’, means anything or nothing.
so it doesn’t stop a frivolous claim.
IF the law does not specify things,
losing candidates will ask for the sky.
the new reality
is that there is no civility left.
Republicans need to realize that fact,
and grow up
