are you series, lol? bakersfield is a strange town in many ways, but i hadn’t heard of the irish continginent taking hold there.
however, i’ve seen anecdotal reports of big bay-area (leftie) companies importing eu nation laborers (i think eastern block mostly). i thought most were visa’d though.
