I like the Ford Fusion Hybrid, I will say.
The Ford Fiesta is junk. They made everything so light and flimsy to try to reduce weight and improve MPG the car is not durable enough to take normal wear and tear.
All to propitiate the fake gods of the State imposed religion of “Environmentalism”.
Ford seems to have cars that have eye-pleasing bodies but underwhelming engines for the dollar.
The only reason the Fusion exists is that it’s doing the job that the Taurus should be doing - midtier sedan. In turn, the Taurus is given a turbocharger and being forced to fit the hole made by axing the Panther platform.
I’d rather see them put a V6 in it if not to have another Camry-fighter.
“I like the Ford Fusion Hybrid, I will say.”
Why do you like it. Seriously. I have not owned a hybrid but that propulsion system seems like a nice idea, and the Prius has been a success long enough that it can’t be a flash in the pan.
They are nice cars. Ford had a few stumbles when they first came out with the "Energi" plug-in hybrid version, but they were resolved in the first model year. I've heard of people taking it further and modifying the plug in for power out, so they have a generator of sorts for emergencies.
They're actually pretty affordable as used low mile lease turn-ins. Not much more than a standard Fusion. I don't get the immediate hostility to these cars from so many on here. There are benefits to owning one, I don't give a hoot about "green." Low operating cost, close to thirty miles or so daily with no gas used whatsoever, far cheaper running on electricity. It's a good fit for a lot of people. They're just too expensive currently without subsidy. Not too expensive used as I said, though.
