>>Who goes to UMass anyway?

For years there have been two UMasses. One contains excellent schools of physical science and business, now largely populated by foreign nationals. The other contains a glump of juvenile arts and social sciences such as "feminist anthropology" and "victims' studies." The latter is the source of uncounted stupidities and ignorance and "micro-aggressions." The cost for tuition has gone from $200/semester in the 1960s to $16,000/semester today. In 1963, UMass retired undefeated from TV's College Bowl. Today, it wouldn't make it to a high school contest. A post-Civil War land grant college (Massachusetts Agricultural College) the school now routinely burns the American Flag.

A while back I talked to a hiring manager at a corporation. He said he doesn't even read resumes from UMass graduates any more.

Every year they send me a plea for money. I throw it away.

If you live there you’re better off going out of state to, say, a Big Ten or SEC school in a red or red-leaning state.
