Let me clarify since the story is a bid vague. The federal judge DID NOT order a recount. The recount question was already decided last Friday when the four member Election Commission deadlocked which allowed Stein's recount to proceed. However under Michigan law there is a 2 business day delay until the recount can begin. Stein went to federal court and said that the 2 day delay endangered voters because the recount might not be completed by midnight December 12 which would prevent Michigan from sending a slate of delegates to the electoral college. The Judge simply agreed that the two day window could be ignored and the count could start immediately.

Now there is a different case where the Michigan Attorney General has petitioned the Michigan Supreme Court to halt the recount and order the original numbers certified. That case hasn't been heard yet (should be today or tomorrow). If the Michigan Supreme Court orders the recount halted, then this federal court decision is completely moot...

According to his order, the Fed Judge ordered that the recount start “must continue until further order of this court.” (”In ordering the recount to begin at noon Monday, rather than Wednesday morning under the two-day waiting period the state planned to observe, Goldsmith ordered the recount, once started, “must continue until further order of this court.”) Essentially, he removed the matter from the state courts and the count has to continue until he orders it stopped - not likely - or, he is over-ruled by the 6th Circuit.

what this POS did however was say that this recount must continue until further order of his court.

On Tuesday our AG Schuette is taking the recount to the Mi Supreme Court, to try to get it stopped.

I was already angry about this but now I want to spit. Michigan and all of her voters have been told they mean nothing by the yet-again over-reaching feds.
