The Dakota Access Pipeline will not go ahead at the Standing Rock Indian reservation, it was announced Sunday.
Moments after the decision was announced Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council Chairman Harold Frazier told DailyMail.com that he was 'shocked' by the news, which he'd received from Jo-Ellen Darcy, United States Assistant Secretary of the Army.
The camp erupted into cheers as the news spread that the US Army Corps of engineers would not enforce an easement that would have allowed a pipeline to run under Lake Oahe half a mile south of their reservation, potentially affecting the tribe's drinking water and infringing on land rights.

Sorry, but you don’t seem to be in full possession of your wits.
Repeating something over and over does not make it true.
As you admit yourself, Indian tribes do not act like sovereigns, they live in such a way as to demonstrate their lack of sovereignty, they virtually insist on declaring themselves anything but sovereign.
And yet there are a certain angry, frightened or pathetic few who feel that claiming sovereignty over and over will make them feel better about themselves.
You are one of these, and apparently a wannabee to boot.
I don’t know where you live, but it obviously isn’t on a reservation. You just don’t know what you are talking about.
Let me ask you this: If the Standing Rock Reservation is a sovereign nation, why on earth is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issuing opinions and declarations about what can and can’t be done on Standing Rock land?
What business could the E.P.A possibly have meddling in the affairs of a sovereign nation? Why wouldn’t this great sovereign nation simply say no?
“As you admit yourself, Indian tribes do not act like sovereigns, they live in such a way as to demonstrate their lack of sovereignty, they virtually insist on declaring themselves anything but sovereign.”
Acting and Being are two different things. Did obama act like a raciest but claim to be a uniter?
The Facts are pesky things and for one who you said “dont seem to be in full possession of your wits” I have stated Facts. See Sovereignty and Treaty. But I repeat myself again because the Truth is not something you can recognize. So I guess it is time to say A do!
God Bless
For goodness’ sake.
You are a silly person, and you live in a dream world.
You ought to visit a reservation on occasion.
Though I wouldn’t recommend that you move there.
You couldn’t cut it.
p.s. It’s “adieu”, not “A do”. The French say, “adieu”.
Fred Flintstone is the only one who says, “Yubba-dubb...a do!”
lol....
I’m Not French...
God Bless
my prediction... it will change back to where it was as soon as the Indians realize they lost their payout for the pipeline... watch and see...
Lastly in all reality its “adieus”, but I will not make a big ado about it...
“p.s. Its adieu, not A do. The French say, adieu.
adieu = is a dramatic farewell, what you might say to someone if they’re about to die...
God Bless
Go french yourself, Frogboy.
What do you make of that?
