Supposedly, Kerry found out in 2003 of his jewish heritage. His family name was changed to Kerry from Kohn.
Kerry’s father married a forbes (which is either Irish or Scot).
He then tried to convince everybody that he never claimed to be Irish ( which was a lie)
They had to tear down all the “Irish” john Kerry signs in the boston pubs during his 2004 presidential run - too funny.

Now that you mention it, I did see something about his being Jewish some time ago. I guess “being a Catholic” doesn’t really mean the same thing as “being Jewish.” Jews are Jewish by their births. I have a friend who is Jewish, but his wife isn’t, and he told me that his daughter was denied access to a program in Israel that is solely for “jewish children.” Evidently the heritage is passed through the female.
Seems like he would have seen he was Jewish every time he took a whiz.
