If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists point of view, I think youre, like, out of your mind, Russell said. I think anybody [who says that] is. I think its absolutely insane.
Allowing people to carry guns for protection would curb violence more effectively than gun control because it forces violent individuals to think twice before physically harming someone else, he explained.

A classic
Yep. Like all human beings, sometimes we FReepers get it wrong. Here's the real Mr. Russell:
I assume that the Dude picture is in relation to the quote in the excerpt. It was very...Dude like.
Kurt’s got enough FU money to not care anymore. He’s been in the business over 50 years and he’s in his late 50’s. He was what, 7 when he did his first film with Elvis. Besides, He puts butts in theater seats and that means $$$ fo the studio suits. And at the end of the day that’s what they really care about.

Used Cars was a very funny movie.
Just reading that I can’t help but hear The Dude voice.
Not that it matters but Russell is in his mid 60’s.
One of my all time faves.
But was he wearing tennis shoes?
Albert Einstein Quotes. Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Then this from 1764...
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that it has no remedy for evils, except destruction.
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are of such a nature.
Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.—Cesare Beccaria (1764)
I stand corrected. That said, he has been acting since he was a fetus.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
I remember Beccaria from my CJ classes. Also that other Cesare, Lombroso. Those men had a lot to do with the formation of criminology as a behavioral science.

Here we go again. Another Hollywood academic speaks out. I understand that fellow members of the Actor’s Guild consider him to be somewhat of a dangerous intellectual.
If only they hung huge signs off the World Trade Centers stating No Airplanes...
Albert Einstein never used windows vista.
Dude. One of the dumbest movies I’ve ever seen. Except for the part where John Goodman pulls a gun on a fellow bowler.
