said that he prefers a “better European Union” in fact. The euro currency is not necessarily a factor that a “united Europe” empire hinges on; and remember that the plans for a “two-speed Europe” have been in place for decades.
Putin has touted his collection of former Soviet states as the Eurasian Union, making it an economic union at first after the EU’s pattern, coming into being officially two years ago. I’m surprised you are not familiar with it.
