During Saturday’s Weekly Address, President Obama touted the 21st Century Cures Act, and stated that over the last eight years we’ve made health care “more affordable for all Americans.”
Transcript as Follows:
“Hi, everybody. On the first day of my administration, I promised to restore science to its rightful place. I told you we would unleash American innovation and technology to tackle the health challenges of our time. Over the last eight years, we’ve delivered on that promise in many ways, both big and small — including, of course, providing health coverage to 20 million more Americans, and making health care more affordable for all Americans.

Most of the people in America are in the same boat you and I are in, and saw through the lies - some sooner than others. I’m guessing you and I, along with all the other Freepers, saw it before it was even implemented.
Hopefully Trump will rescind some of obama’s EO’s to throw some sand in the gears, and there is an appeal the Feds made that Trump could throw out that would also put a hurt on obamacare.

Guess I need to go back to 2nd grade math class! I was taught that $300 is more than $40 but what do I know? I’ve been thinking wrong this whole time according to our illustrious soon to be ex (thank God) president.

My husband was on my insurance plan through work for 22 years. Obamacare comes along and the company tells us that now, as long as there is another option available for spouse coverage, we can’t put them on our plan. Husband, since he does have a JOB, was forced to take his employer’s HMO yet more expensive insurance plan. But those whose spouses don’t need to work stay covered. So once again, the middle class taking a hit.

One thing that has happened is that therates have gone so high that many people now qualify for the exemption. Maybe you do too.

They sure as he11 didn’t make it more affordable for me.
I am 71 and drawing SS. I got a letter just this week that for 2017 my SS payment had increased by a whopping $5.40 over last year, but my medicare deduction from SS has increased by $97.40 and drug coverage has increased by $21.50.
The net result is my monthly payment is $113.50 less than last year.
Somehow I though that SS was something I worked for and paid into, so I would get money in retirement. And, for a lot of years that payment was supposed to be “inflation-indexed”. Well this year the increase in medical coverage is 20 times more than the “inflation-indexing”.
That sure is affordable medical care.
Once was a shock. Twice was an outrage. Thrice is a nightmare that won’t end.
Over the past three years, my family’s private, individual health insurance plan — a high-deductible Preferred Provider Organization — has been canceled three times. Our first death notice, from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, arrived in the fall of 2013. Our second, from Rocky Mountain Health Plans, came last August. Three weeks ago, we received another ominous “notice of plan discontinuation” from Anthem informing us that the insurer “will no longer offer your current health plan in the State of Colorado.”
Every time we receive a cancellation letter, I recall President Obama’s big lie: “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”
Then I imagine Vincent Price’s evil “Thriller” laugh reverberating at the end of that cruel punchline: Mwahahahahahaha!

The subsidies (and the rates vs. income) were carefully designed to be giveaway programs to Obama Voters.
People can look at the data. It confirms that ObamaCare is a wealth and health care transfer from working whites over to favored racial groups.
Back in 2009, I remember watching CNN or one of the other DNC networks. I clearly remember Moochelle Obama telling a gathered crowd that: "Barack wants to give healthcare to OUR PEOPLE!"
I have never been able to find that tape.
