According to two people close to the transition, Trump is moving away from two of the front-runners for the job, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney, the 2012 GOP nominee. Giuliani's international business ties and public campaigning for the job are said to have rankled Trump. And while Trump has met twice with Romney, he's said to be aware of the risks of angering his supporters by tapping a Republican who was among his fiercest critics.
Former CIA director David Petraeus is still in the mix, though both people close to the transition said Trump's prolonged decision-making process has left the door open to other options.
One of the sources said Trump was open to expanding his short list of secretary of State prospects. Among the possibilities: Jon Huntsman, a former Republican Utah governor who also served as the ambassador to China and speaks Mandarin.

Huntsman’s daughter works for FNC.(Abby) She does a pretty good job there too.
Trump going to take his time picking an SoS. He may not pick one till mid to late January.

On Fox and Friends he said he’s thinking about running for some office in Utah. His daughter, Abbie, is the new F&F chick.

Dump Jon Huntsman, for sure.
I like Bolton's direct, plain spoken style. However, he is dangerous on some things. He wants an intervention in Syria and an enforced no fly zone. That would mean shooting down Russian planes while still trying to depose Bashar al-Assad. We have no business getting into a war in Syria or over Syria.
Giuliani has issues, but there are jobs he can do well. State is not my first choice for him.
Mitt Romney is a poor choice for almost any position, and he’s way at the bottom for State. The only reason for choosing Mitt is to make him irrelevant. Education would be a good spot for Romney, if it’s going to be eliminated.
Bolton has worked for multiple SoS’s and will know how to clean out the nests of traitors who infest the 70,000 person department. He also knows how to deal with international thugs and UN crooks. He’s not a neocon or a chicken hawk. He is a patriot who believes in a muscular, America First foreign policy and who will know how to bitch slap criminals such as Putin, Xi, Kim, Castro, and the SandMonkey cabal.
Sure is...and he is just as bad if not worse than Romney...he will do and say anything to get what he wants...
His dad was an ok guy, built the Huntsman Cancer Center here in Salt Lake City...but his son is right there with Dirty Hairy Reid and Mitten ‘The Rat’ Romney!!!
It's also the final stick in Hillary and Obama's eyes. So I think he'll let this one simmer as long as possible. He already knew who it would be weeks ago and probably before the election.
Romney should go back to Utah and stay there.
