I heard that many states stopped counting absentee votes once Trump was declared winner. Being as many like myself, military or retired probably went with Trump, I’d like to know what states and the status...Are the un counted absentee votes retained?

Nobody stops counting votes. All the votes are counted. That’s why it has taken weeks for most states to report their final counts.

A rumor without foundation. All votes are eventually counted.

When you stop and think about it...they have to be. After all, there are more races on the ballot than just the presidency.

They’re all counted. Local and state races still need to be counted even if the presidential question is moot.

Only the states where the margin between the winner and the loser was greater than the number of uncounted provisional and absentee mail-in votes was the winner declared.

However the counted does finish up just to tieup loose ends.
