You are in a better situation than me is seems. I have a friend who's mother made the best German potato salad and no one carried the dish on. My sister has my moms cookbook but I don't think she uses it today. I'm not sure I would either but I hope she does pass it on.

My son tells me he doesn't want the china or crystal. He also doesn't want an old painting. I'm like you hoping he marries someone who will be interested. Sorry to bounce around I'm trying to bake and check back. I'm not good staying on point. LOL

I have two generations of crystal here, gathering dust. The young people have grown up with greater abundance and just don’t see the old stuff the same way we do.
