Both sound amazing! Once you stop who will pick up making them? So many reciepes have been forgotten. It’s too easy to look up a recipe on line and not make something our families have used through the years. Too many of our traditional recipes are being lost every day.

That would probably depend on whomever I get in the "future daughter-in-law" assembly line. My mom left her recipe collection to the second wife of one of my brothers, which stung a bit; I don't know whether she was trying to spite me, her first daughter, or my remarried brother's first wife, or any other son or daughter-in-law — LOL! She was an Irish "Halfheimer." They forget everything but their grudges.

These days there is readily available copying, even in color, but it's nice to have the original yellowed index cards with the dog-ears, chocolate smudges and fingerprints.
