TB is costly because it entails a long time on properly administered drug therapy, IF the drug therapy even works, because now we have multidrug resistant TB.

exposing all these people requires testing them all, possible follow up chest xrays, dr visits etc....

I remember in the old days reading about how Australia would not allow anyone into their country with certain diseases...

but the good old USA....just come on down folks!

One individual at a middle school and a daycare center in my state caused nearly 400 children and staff to be tested, and 16 had positive skin tests. Not only is the treatment costly and lengthy, but our health dept requires a health care worker observe the individual taking the medicine, since they can’t be trusted to do that simple task on their own.
