“ask you to leave, you have to leave”
The thing I wonder about these kinds of rules is if it makes a diff if the store space is owned vs leased.
I.e., if you have your own gas station, it’s sort of like a private property thing.
But if you lease the space, you’re not the owner so can’t really make rules like that, though the mall or building owner could.
No, there is no restriction in Ky on carrying on commercial (Leased or not) or private property. Since we have had open-carry for decades, the law applies the same standard to concealed carry in that you can conceal carry essentially anywhere that you could “open-carry”.
The places that are restricted for “open-carry” are also restricted for concealed carry (Police Stations, Court Houses, Federal Land, etc) - other than that - no restriction. Even employers in Ky cannot prohibit employees from having guns in their vehicles as Ky deems your vehicle as YOUR private property.
We are truly blessed here in terms of our gun laws - but that stands to reason since we’re the primary group of “bitter clingers” you’ve heard about....
No difference. Think about an apartment lease -- you have all the rights of ownership, including the right to exclude, except for the right to sell the property.
