they pulled this in Rochester NY 25 yrs ago when my kids were young - kinda pissed me off, only because there had been a traditional santa while we were waiting, only to be replaced by a black santa.....the kids were looking to us to explain what was happening and given they were 3 yr olds, it created some questions for them. We laugh about it now.....if Santa is delivering gifts, he can be neon for all we care
We were always told the Santa we saw was really “Santa’s Helpers”.
As kids we had no problems with that.
