This is the second Carrier employee to go on the record praising Donald Trump in two days. These folks are extremely grateful to Trump for saving their jobs and many of them are Democrats!
This mans name is Rick Link. Hes a lifelong Democrat who voted for Trump and hes pretty happy about keeping his job. On FOX and Friends, Steve Doocy asked him why he voted for Trump and he said:
He spoke to me. He hit a chord inside me, he was talking to the working man. He was talking to the middle class. And you know, were tired of being the working poor. We bust our tails and for what? Companies are getting tax breaks, CEOs are getting bonuses and were getting the shaft.
Doocy asked him what he would like to say to Trump. He responded:
Thank you for taking the time. Youre not even the actual President of the United States yet, youre the President Elect but youve done more in your first three weeks of being elected than the current administration has done in the last nine months for us.
Watch the video:
Trump is so much smarter than the left and the media realize.
If Trump and Pence keep this up, theyll be re-elected in a Reagan style landslide of 49 states in 2020.
Sometimes, brilliant is as stupid does. And that's all I have to say about that. :)
Well there is nothing wrong with tax breaks. When the capital gains tax is reduced, the tax revenue from the sale of assets comes rolling in. People respond to incentives.
I would prefer that we lower the corporate income to be competitive with the rest of the world and also promote the investment tax credit to encourage investment in new plants
and equipment.
And killed the used car market for years and screwed the poor out of a source of affordable used cars.
With the amount of money he spent on that bailing out the car companies, he could have offered an incentive of a several thousand dollar rebate to individuals who bought a new car and traded in or sold their old ones.
Then people wouldn't have been destroying perfectly good used cars for nothing, there'd be new cars on the roads, and the auto manufacturers would have seen their increase in sales anyways.
Thank you.
As more see the benefit of a man like Trump, the delusions of the liberal left will vanish like dew in the sunshine.
A good positive reality will burst all those bubbles.
Then clearly simply reading the Bible in and of itself doesn't do anyone any good. One has to have a heart to understand it.
Although it's beyond me how someone could read it that much and not somehow have the Holy Spirit breakthrough the deception of the liberal left.
IOW, not taxing them like they shouldn't have been doing in the first place?
If the government hadn't over reached itself and over taxed them, then there wouldn't need to be what some call *incentives*.
But the government gets greedy and taxes something as a way to get quick cash and they kill the industry.
Do you remember what happened to the yacht making business?
Some Einstein thought it would be a great source of income to tax yachts and the whole US industry dried up almost immediately. Someone else is just making the money now.
Calling the government backing off from taxing someone an *incentive* is disingenuous.

Calling the government backing off from taxing someone an *incentive* is disingenuous because it gives the impression that the government is giving someone something they don't deserve and causing people to feel indebted or in gratitude to them. That the government has the right to tax you and you should feel indebted to it when it doesn't.
It's like feeling indebted to a burglar for NOT beating you up when he robs you as if he had a right to it and forfeited that right.
A friends father used to refer to them as *college educated idiots*.
the guy is a good person but the mental gymnastics I see him go through to justify his views and how they relate to his bible reading hurt my own mind when I try and fallow his reasoning.
I don’t get it either when I see stuff like that.
Obama said we have to get used to these jobs leaving the usa. That was his position on this.
GW Bush’s tax cuts resulted in INCREASED tax revenues.
The same will happen under Trump if he goes through with all of his promised corporate tax rate cuts, decreased regulation, etc.
It depends why the jobs are going away. If they’re being outsourced, trying to keep the jobs here makes sense. But if technology is evolving to the point where less human labor is needed in manufacturing, then we need to let that happen to allow for economic progress and efficiency.
The Pope shows us how the left can see what they want to see in the Bible. Not to mention all those Latin-American Catholics crossing the border who “should” be conservative according to some people, but obviously aren’t to anyone who understands the culture people like the Pope come from.
Oh, Yeah, that Cash for Clunkers program chapped my hide. My taxes from a meager enough paycheck going to buy cars for ppl who already qualified for a new-car loan. Meanwhile destroying perfectly serviceable used cars that should have hit the market for used-car budgets like mine. Good going, a-hole.
Yes, it can be a choice between automation in US factories vs manual labor in Mexico. We’d still win if the factories are in the US because our exports would go up.
I like the sound of that!
I have a friend who is (now semi-retired) used car dealer who told me what impact that had on the used car market.
He never really recovered from it.
But that aside, even though I didn’t know that at the time, just seeing the reports of people destroying perfectly good used vehicles made me sick.
Arrrgh, wanted to chime in & add my 2 cents to yours, LOL, but ran out of time.
Have yourself a great weekend, FReeper!
