Soon after Trump's announcement speech, I said he would win the nomination and likely the election. It wasn't that hard to predict. For anyone familiar with the Republican Party's repeated betrayals of the American people, it was a 2-foot putt.
I issue this warning with the same certitude -- in fact, for the exact same reason I knew anyone running on Trump's platform would have unbreakable support from millions of voters.
What coalesced Trump's base, what made his support tempered steel, was the fact that voters had been lied to, over and over again -- on many things, but most smugly and repeatedly on immigration.
How many times did we have to see the GOP choke? There's 30 seconds left in the game, Republicans are down by two, they move the ball up the court, have a man in position -- and, every time, the GOP would do anything to avoid taking the 3-point shot.
That is the beating heart of the anger that voters felt toward the party. No one trusted Republicans to ever score when they had the ball.

I think he’ll appoint the right guys...the big question is how he will deal with RINO Amnesty senators like McCain and Graham.
While I agree with Ann on immigration, she really needs to let Trump get out of the starting gate before assuming he's not going to enforce the law on immigration.
Coulter is right, of course.
If Trump does not produce on immigration, he is toast.
He could shoot somebody in the middle of Fifth Avenue in broad daylight, and I would not care.
But if he chokes on immigration, I will never believe him again. I have been betrayed too many times. I will not be betrayed again.
For example, Sessions for AG. Boom! Right there is the enforcement

Trump has all the tools he needs. He does not need the support of these two tools.
Trump must produce. A gallant try will not do. He must accomplish this one thing. If he fails, outing else matters.
Appointment of Romney to anything but Ambassador to Lichtenstein will be a betrayal. Qualifications be damned. Romney is a proven quisling.

We are not turning on Trump. I still support Trump.
I am telling you what would absolutely and positively make me stop supporting him. There is no wiggle room on this point. This is the deal.
If Trump produces on immigration, I am with him to the end. If he fails, nothing else he can do will bring me back. He could drop a Trillion Dollars of infrastructure spending in my own lap, and I would still oppose him.
You know that McCain and Graham can count on the likes of Collins, Flake and a few others to follow their lead on immigration. Three GOP senators plus the Democrats equals a majority.
McCain excels in back-room deals and back-stabbing.
At this point, we've got to count on McConnell to keep "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" off the floor.
Yes, there’s a lot Trump can do at the executive level but there are some bills to pass.
I also need obamacare gone and a new Scalia. I’m not going to lose much sleep if they don’t pass that maternity leave bill though
Well let me say, I have supported Trump strongly, since before he even announced his candidacy.
There are any number of reasons I support Trump, and pretty much they ALL have to do with the sell-out of America by those on both sides of the political aisle.
Both sides. Trump is who we need. And we got him.
Now is the time to work, to help him restore what is great and good, about America.
Nobody has been thinking of America for the last entire generation. Nobody. On either side.
Trump gets it. Bigtime.
Give him a year at least. Then start to evaluate what you see.
A year.
Until then, do everything you can, every way, to support the guy.

All Congress has to do is nothing.
We already have the laws we need. The money to build the wall is already there, even if Mexico does not pay for it. The American People have already paid for this wall, over and over again.
The wall is like the Wollman Ice Rink in Central Park. Politicians have made a mess of things, and have wasted years and millions of dollars to produce nothing. Trump must come in, as he did with the Wollman Ice Rink, and fix the problem.
By not purging the government of hussein's appointments and anyone they subsequently hired, or promoted.
I support the guy.

One one condition.
This is the deal. This is the only deal that matters.
The American people are like a beautiful and proud woman who has been betrayed too many times. We absolutely will not put up with any nonsense in this matter. It may be unfair and it may be irrational, but that is where we are.
It may seem like Trump has the undying support of his followers, but it only seems that way.
They will turn on him in a minute if they sense betrayal on immigration.
This is the deal.

I believe Trump will do the right thing. There is tremendous upside for him.
The only downside is that he will be under constant attack by the establishment media. But that is already the case, has been the case, and will always be the case.
The establishment media only knows to attack. They have no ability to be subtle.
They have no ability to play nice cop bad cop.
They have no way to reward what they might consider a positive change in direction, because it diminishes their attack.
President Bush gave them many opportunities to praise him for “compromise”. They did not.
The same applied to Nixon. They did not.
So there is no real “downside” for President Trump.
I think appointing Jeff Sessions goes along way in addressing the main premise of this article. I have no doubt Sessions will vigorously enforce existing immigration law. Great pick.
Trump won't sign it and they're never going to get the votes over ridding a veto takes out of a bunch of cowards who are quite happy to run again on the same ole line of, "We tried but those other guys wouldn't go along".
Unless and until South Carolina closes their primary system, we are stuck with Graham. Libs in SC know a Dem will never win that seat. So, they cross over in droves to keep Lyndsey there as he is just as good as a Dem senator.
Block the crossover votes in the primary and Graham goes down in flames without even making it to his next general election.
