I’m visiting my daughter and family in Ojai,CA. and the heat’s been on for days. I think the temps are the same back home in MA.

Fortunately, no “spare the air” days on the Peninsula yet, so I’m happily pumping daily woodsmoke into the atmosphere.

Several coons ages ago, I stopped in the middle of the Golden Gate bridge in July and bought my midwestern bride a ‘I Heart San Franciso’ hoodie.
“You told me this was the Golden state!” she chattered.

It sure is cold today in the SF Bay Area!

Doesn't seem cold to me, compared to previous years. I used to play on softball teams on the peninsula. I remember playing softball games in Daly City when it was in the twenties, below freezing during the day. Iced over puddles in the ballpark, made for interesting games. If it gets into the twenties again, then I'll agree it's cold here in the SF Bay Area (usually never gets below 40 let alone 50).
