There is also Lynchburg College but it is a Baptist School. It has a REALLY nice track.

EC Glass was always a good track school which isn’t always a good thing. My son ran track in the region.
Lynchburg actually has a fairly high crime rate. I always found the mall a little sketchy.

I had forgotten about LC.
They are much lower key than the other schools.

My first wife went to Glass.
Seven years of my life I would love to have back!

Glass was the athletic powerhouse in the 50’s and 60’s.
Then in the mid 70’s they built Heritage and really diluted the talent pool.
Not sure how they’re doing these days as all the athletic districts have been changed around.

The crime in Lynchburg is a problem for a city It’s size.
Not sure why but it’s always been like that.

Liberty U rents about 1/3 of the mall now.
Rumor is they are going to buy it outright and stop any retail there.
Wouldn’t bother me a bit.
The only store I go to at the mall is FYE to check out their used CD and DVD racks.

When I was young Pittman Plaza was the place to shop. It’s across the side street from Glass. Called The Plaza now.
Very, very sketchy place to be.
