When either party nominates a candidate, it's quite common for primary opponents to put their acrimony aside and act as though they were best friends all along. Is it hypocritical? Sure, but it's the way things are done, which is why Ted Cruz looked like a jackass for not endorsing Trump at the GOP convention, and why Bernie's endorsement of Hillary shouldn't have come as a shock to anybody.

Jill's behavior is just plain weird. This isn't a case of a primary opponent endorsing a rival for the sake of party unity. It's a member of a third party who ran under the perception of taking votes from Hillary, but who now wants to make sure that every vote cast for Hillary gets counted.
