Right! Even though this "brash" off-the-cuff type of statement may be wrong in some way (I think this one conflicts with court decisions), his dramatic way of calling a spade a spade is so refreshing. OK, he would have to back down, he couldn't really carry out that threat. But he sure voices what people think when they watch a bunch of anarchist trouble-makers burning a flag.

I think this was Trump’s intention. Wanna bet we’ll see more of these anti-Trumpers burning flags going forward? “Eff you Trump, watch me burn these flags!” What will that do to the perception of their cause?
