Seema Verna might be OK, but Nimrata Randhawa, aka Nikki Haley was a terrible pick unless Trump has plans to withdraw the US from the United Nations. She has no foreign experience whatsoever, has allowed untold thousands of Syrians into SC and caved to political pressure when she threw the Confederate Flag under the bus because liberals told her to. This in-turn started the war against Southern heritage all over the country. She’s a spineless gloryhound, who spent more time as governor out of the state than in it. If she could run for reelection (she’s term limited),she would lose.

I agree that Haley was a terrible selection for the reasons that you give (plus the fact that she constantly yapped about Trump's suggested moratorium on Muslim immigration was "Un-American").

The only consolation is that UN ambassador is mostly a symbolic role, one in which she can do very little damage. Someone also pointed out to me that SC's Lieutenant Governor is a Trump ally and a solid conservative, so getting Nikki out of the SC Governor's mansion and into a no-consequence ambassadorship may turn out to be a good thing.

I agree Nimrata Haley was a horrible pick. Her blaming the flag for homicides was lunacy. Then she smirked how she stuck it to those who voted for her, leaving an impression of evil. The only advantages I can see is that she MIGHT be doing less harm at the UN than as governor.
