The Supreme Court has always treated political speech in a generous way, since it’s so fundamental to the First Amendment and to the functioning of an open and free Constitutional republic. Scalia used to joke that his wife wouldnt speak to him for a few days after he was the deciding vote in the flag burning case. He was a great thinker and a great wit. He can never really be replaced, but thank God Hillary isnt the one who gets to try, regardless of the flag burning issue.
