Churchill, Manitoba has a full-time bear patrol to deal with these beasts. They are as worried about them eating children on their way to school as they are dogs.
It’s bad enough we have bobcats, coyotes and other wild
critters out here on the river. We did get a bear ranging
through here on its way north of here & I did see a
mountain lion one day on the road to town. Some hunter shot
the bear; but I don’t know what happened to the lion.
You’ve gotta use common sense. I don’t walk alone down by
the river any more. :o(
