This is horrifying... One of my children lives near Huntsville, AL. Tonight they were getting rain for the first time in weeks. I sure hope this system gets to east Tennessee soon.

We have not had rain since either June or July. We did get a little tonight. Not near enough. Friends have been posting pictures of their farm ponds on FB. Very, very low. This area has been under a no burn warning for months. I have not been near the TN River but it is probably very low, too. Cotton farmers really hurt. A relative took a friend over to Desoto Falls and very little water was flowing.

We’re about 10 miles north of Huntsville and I think we got maybe 1/4” so not much. Maybe more later this week.
